Jamaican children ages 7–12 are invited to participate in the Winna Inna Me Creative Expression Competitions running till May 31. The competitions are being run by writer Sabrena McDonald Radcliffe.
McDonald Radcliffe will also be donating copies of her children’s book, Winna Inna Me, Book 1: Turn That No into YES!, to children's homes.
McDonald Radcliffe, in explaining her motivation for the Winna Inna Me Youth Movement shared: “Every child deserves to know there is greatness inside them. Through competitions, books, and other empowerment activities, I want to help Jamaica’s children to become more self-confident and proactive in shaping the outcome of their lives. I want them to feel more positive about their place and value in the world.” She continued by saying, “As Marcus Garvey said “If you haven't confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started.“
