– residents welcome 5-gallon refills at $100
Residents of Port Mourant and surrounding communities in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) will now enjoy safe, affordable drinking water as Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) commissions its newest Water Bottle Refilling Station.
The facility was officially opened on Friday, and members of the public received free five-gallon water refills throughout the day. However, from Saturday, refills will cost $100 per five-gallon container-something that residents welcomed.
