Eden Lodge Primary School reopened today after being closed last week due to environmental concerns. However, fresh issues emerged as some staff members reportedly fell ill and sought medical attention following complaints of a foul odour on the school compound.
In a statement, the Ministry of Educational Transformation said the Ministry of Health and Wellness had given the all-clear for regular classes to resume today.
The Ministry noted that air quality tests detected no abnormal results. However, repairs were carried out on a cracked four-inch duct pipe, and smoke tests were conducted to ensure the issue had been properly addressed. Officials also reported that no breaches were found in the wells or grease traps.
