Eye surgeries to be offered in Hinterland regions

The National Ophthalmology Hospital at Port Maurant has come a long way in recent years clearing all surgical backlogs and is now looking to take eye surgeries to the Hinterland regions.
Ophthalmologist and Doctor in charge of the hospital, Dr. Saif Alli recently spoke with the Department of Public Information (DPI).
He highlighted all of the positive changes that have been made at the hospital. Over the years, medical teams would visit other regions to screen patients and once they are identified as needing surgeries they are transported to the hospital at Port Maurant to conduct those surgeries.
