The Central Bank has announced that a new $100 polymer bill, featuring Trinidad and Tobago’s redesigned coat of arms with the pan replacing Columbus’ ships, will be introduced in August.
The rollout of a new $100 bill for the country was originally scheduled for December 2024 but was postponed to allow for the redesign of the country’s coat of arms.
The Central Bank had expected the new $100 bill with the redesigned coat of arms to enter public circulation by October, but in June, Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo instructed the Central Bank to halt printing of the polymer note.
