Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar’s po­si­tion on the Unit­ed States’ mil­i­tary pres­ence and sup­port for the US to “kill them all (drug traf­fick­ers) vi­o­lent­ly” was panned by Ja­maica’s Glean­er news­pa­per yes­ter­day, head­lined “Re­ject Trump’s ap­proach.”

Hope­ful­ly, no oth­er Caribbean leader will fol­low Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar’s em­bar­rass­ing and high­ly spir­it­ed cheer­ing-on the Unit­ed States for its ex­tra­ju­di­cial killing last week of 11 al­leged drug traf­fick­ers in in­ter­na­tion­al wa­ters, near Venezuela.
