PSG winger Kvaratskhelia’s season in doubt after torn ACL

PARIS, France (AFP)—Paris Saint-Germain could be without star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the rest of the season after he tore his ACL in the Champions League win against Barcelona while Ousmane Dembele also faces weeks out of action, the European champions said on Wednesday.

PSG said Kvaratskhelia “is set to undergo surgery in the coming days” after he suffered the injury in the 4-2 league phase win against Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

Kvaratskhelia slumped to the turf without any apparent contact and left the pitch just before the hour mark.
