ROSEAU, Dominica (CMC)—Two American men were found guilty on Tuesday of the murders of Canadian businessman Daniel Langlois and his longtime partner, Dominique Marchand, whose bodies were discovered inside a burned-out vehicle on December 1, 2023.
After several hours of deliberation, a nine-member mixed jury convicted 58-year-old Jonathan Lehrer and 63-year-old Robert Snider Jr of the killings.
Prosecutors argued that between November 29 and December 2, 2023, Lehrer and Snider murdered Langlois, Echo Resort owner and founder of the software company Softimage, along with Marchand, 58. The couple had been reported missing before their charred bodies were found inside a vehicle near Gallion in southern Dominica.
