'I FIND it fantastic that this is happening. They have already been through so much, and the fact that they can now be open in the streets is wonderful.'
That was the sentiment expressed by Yasmine, one of several supporters who turned out for PrideTT's LGBTQI+ Pride parade through Woodbrook and St Clair yesterday.
Despite occasionally grey skies, about 200 people took part in the march, transforming the streets into a Carnival-like celebration with rainbow flags, music trucks, colourful costumes and dancing.
