Trinidad and Tobago national Yamine Trotman has been awarded the Sinnette-Nguyen Scholarship for the academic year 2025–2026.
The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Global Campus, in an article on its website, said Trotman is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and has distinguished herself through exemplary community outreach as the founder of Healed Me, Healing You Ministry, a philanthropic organisation that provides mental health support to women. She also serves as Vice President, Programming and Voluntarism, of The UWI Student Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) Global Campus Corps.
The scholarship is awarded to a national of T&T who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme at The UWI Global Campus and has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and community involvement. Following a competitive selection process, Trotman emerged as an outstanding candidate whose accomplishments and aspirations exemplify the scholarship’s values and objectives.
