(Kaieteur News) – National Director of the Border Patrol Unit, and former Region Four Chairman and Daniel Seeram, on Friday, was found guilty of assaulting his ex-wife, Farzana Hamid, causing her actual bodily harm, and subsequently remanded to police custody following a flurry of emergency high court filings.
The conviction was handed down by Magistrate Abigail Gibbs at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, stemming from an indictable charge converted for summary trial under the Administration of Justice Act.
The court heard that on September 11, 2023, at a Cummings Lodge apartment shared by the couple at the time, Seeram physically assaulted Hamid following an evening out.
