Daughter: Daddy forged his own path

THE MIGHTY Sparrow’s daughter Michelle Francisco has urged young people not to allow their circumstances or lack of conventional opportunities to limit their ambitions as she highlighted her father’s journey from a boy with only a primary school education to the Calypso King of the World.

She said her father did not follow someone else’s blueprint.

“He created his own,” Francisco said during her eulogy at her father’s State-assisted funeral yesterday at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, Port of Spain.
