Ra­madan will be­gin at sun­set on Wednes­day, ac­cord­ing to an up­date is­sued by the AS­JA Hi­lal Com­mit­tee.

Imam Ya­coob Ali said the birth of the new moon will take place at 8am on Tues­day, which cor­re­sponds with the 29th day of Sha’baan. He stat­ed that at sun­set on Tues­day the moon will be 10 hours and 17 min­utes old and can­not be seen any­where in the world.

Imam Ya­coob Ali said at sun­set on Wednes­day the moon will be 34 hours and 18 min­utes old and will be vis­i­ble from In­dia west­ward.
