Essequibo Coast housewife set on fire; husband arrested

A 59-year-old housewife is hospitalised after she was allegedly set on fire during an incident involving her 68-year-old husband at Hampton Court, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) on Thursday.
Police said the incident occurred at about 12:30h on Thursday, and is being investigated as an attempt to commit murder.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman was at home when she was allegedly set on fire during an incident involving her husband, who is employed as a security guard.
