A TORNADO around midday yesterday ripped through roofs, frightened residents and caused other property damage in Westmoorings. No injuries were reported.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) said a “weak tornado” developed over north-western Trinidad around 11.55 a.m., in Westmoorings.
The Met Service said the system formed as a result of unstable weather conditions and dissipated shortly after moving inland.
