In a major step towards improving community access to preventative healthcare, Bayview Urgent Care has officially announced a new partnership with Rubis, under which corporate and retail customers will receive discounts on Bayview Urgent Care’s new basic screening packages.
The partnership aims to address the rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by making routine medical check-ups more accessible and affordable for Barbadians, particularly the uninsured. Designed as a proactive wellness baseline, Bayview Urgent Care’s basic medical package aligns with the hospital’s mandate to provide routine diagnostic screenings before patients become ill.
“We are thrilled to partner with Rubis to bring this initiative to life,” said Dr. David Byer, Bayview Urgent Care Lead Consultant. “In the urgent care department, we see firsthand how critical timely intervention is. By offering these basic medical packages to Rubis customers, we are encouraging Barbadians to take a proactive approach to their wellbeing. Early detection is the greatest tool in the fight against chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Together, we are helping to make a real impact.”
