(Kaieteur News) – Waste To Wealth Caribbean and its official Execution Partner, Outliers Zone Caribbean, this week met with the Town Clerk of Linden, Lennox Gasper and Deputy Mayor Wainewright Bethune where a sustainable model was presented to potentially divert up to 50% of the biodegradable waste currently destined for the dumping site at the entrance of Linden’s Blue Lake.

The Blue Lake in Linden is one of Guyana’s most visited tourist attractions, yet the entrance has become a dumping ground that takes away from the serene destination.

During the meeting with the Linden leaders, officials from Waste to Wealth conducted a live composting demonstration which they hope will attract Lindeners and reduce a significant portion of refuse being dumped at the site.
