TOBAGO’S Secretary of Finance, Petal-Ann Roberts, shot into the spotlight last week as she delivered her first-ever budget presentation before the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).

While the occasion was historic, for Roberts it was a moment she was prepared for.

The THA 2026 budget, themed “Accelerating Growth; Anchoring Fiscal Stability”, was designed around several key pillars: tourism and the creative sector, agriculture, human capital development, digital technology, infrastructure, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
