Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles has condemned Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar over her recent comments on the Caribbean Community, accusing her of damaging the country’s regional standing.
In a social media post dated March 26, Beckles said, “I completely condemn Kamla Persad-Bissessar's most recent reprehensible attack on the Caribbean Community, and her lazy, childish, and irresponsible posturing on the issue of the reappointment of the Secretary General.”
She added, “Kamla Persad-Bissessar has demonstrated that she is unfit to continue in the role of Prime Minister of our nation.”
