Organisations advocating for young people and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex community (LGBTQI+) in TT are urging the newly-elected government to ensure that they and other marginalised communities are not overlooked.
In a media release on April 30, the Silver Lining Foundation said the UNC’s campaign slogan, When UNC wins, everybody wins, should be put into action immediately.
“Today, we ask that this promise begin with those who cannot yet cast a ballot but whose futures depend on the choices we make: the children and young people of Trinidad and Tobago.”
