Barbados will this week host the third Caribbean Community, CARICOM, Regional Conference on Reparations.
Themed “Reparatory justice as the coming enlightenment”, the conference will open on Thursday at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Resort.
It follows the adoption of a landmark United Nations resolution on March 25th this year, which declared the trafficking and racialised chattel enslavement of Africans to be “the gravest crime against humanity”.
