PRIME MINISTER Stuart Young said yesterday the Government was doing the work necessary to deal with the situation involving the women and children stuck in refugee camps in Syria.
Young was commenting on statements made by head of the Repatriation Committee Nizam Mohammed on Monday.
Mohammed said Muslims, particularly in places like San Fernando West, should withhold their votes if they did not get an unequivocal undertaking from the political parties as to what they are going to do about the “suffering women and children” who had been “abandoned”.
