Former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley has signed on to a letter seeking support at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for the end of United States embargo against Cuba.
The open letter to all nations of the world listed as signatories a dozen former Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) including Rowley. It stated that they “strongly and unequivocally” urge all nations to vote in favour of the resolution in relation to ending the embargo.
They added that the coercive actions of the USA against Cuba represent the law of the jungle and can in no way be justified by the Charter of the United Nations or any other source of international law and justice.
