The work of the Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association (TTBWA) received a significant boost with the appointment of two new members, completing the full complement of Government appointees to the Council.
Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, Vandana Mohit, presented the instruments of appointment to Ms. Natasha Ballah, representing the Ministry of Culture and Community Development, and Ms. Nadine David-Figaro, representing the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, on the TTBWA Council on Wednesday.
In extending congratulations to the newly appointed members, Minister Mohit noted the important role the TTBWA plays in supporting the visually impaired community and promoting inclusion and empowerment. She further stated that the addition of the new members will strengthen the Council’s collective skills, expertise and capacity to serve the organisation effectively.
