THE export licence granted to the Studley Park quarry in Tobago by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is coming at the expense of the maintenance of Trinidad and Tobago roads, former energy minister Stuart Young said yesterday.
Persad-Bissessar, during a trip to Tobago on Tuesday, presented an export licence for the Studley Park quarry to Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, which she said can be used to earn foreign exchange.
Speaking at a news conference at the Opposition Leader’s office in Port of Spain, Young asked the population not to be fooled by the Prime Minister’s “recent theatrics” in Tobago.
