The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) will hold its first-ever itinerant sittings in St Lucia from October 7 to 8, 2026, as the Court marks the opening of the 2026/2027 Judicial Year.
The sittings, the court said on Friday, will mark the first time St Lucia hosts the regional court since its establishment 21 years ago. The Court has previously held itinerant sittings in Barbados, Belize, Guyana and Jamaica.
St Lucia became the fifth Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member State to accede to the CCJ’s Appellate Jurisdiction in 2023.
