The police are on the hunt for a male who reportedly disposed of a bag containing a quantity of cannabis along Samaroo Dam, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Thursday. According to reports, police were on mobile patrol when they observed a male carrying a black plastic bag and was at the time acting in a suspicious manner. Upon seeing the police vehicle, the man reportedly dropped the bag in nearby bushes and made good his escape.

However, the bag was retrieved, and upon checking, the cannabis was found and later weighed and amounted to 2.5 kilograms (kg). Police are continuing their investigations.
