KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was fined $150,000, or 30 days’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to obtaining a passport using forged documents when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
Dave Sinclair was sentenced by Senior Parish Court Judge Sanchia Burrell. He was charged with obtaining a passport by means of a forged document, uttering a forged document for travel, and making a false declaration.
Sinclair reportedly recently used the passport to travel to The Bahamas, where he was subsequently deported to Jamaica. He told the court that he had previously been deported from the United States, leaving his children behind and was worried for their wellbeing.
