KINGSTON, Jamaica — Scotiabank customers can now initiate international wire transfers through Scotia OnLine and the Scotia Mobile Banking app, removing the need to visit a branch.
The bank said its new digital money transfer service allows individual customers to send funds overseas directly from their local deposit accounts. Customers may also make same-currency transfers from accounts denominated in United States (US) and Canadian dollars, euros and British pounds.
Transfers will be processed through the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) network, using the recipient bank’s SWIFT code.
