KINGSTON, Jamaica – Newly-crowned national 100m hurdles champion Demisha Roswell will make her Diamond League debut on Sunday when she lines up at the Meeting de Paris, the eighth stop on the global series.
The event will go ahead despite calls for its cancellation along with other sporting competitions due to an ongoing heatwave in Paris.
The Prefecture de Police had asked organisers of several scheduled events, including the athletics competition, to cancel due to the ongoing “red alert” measures implemented in response to record-breaking temperatures.
