(Kaieteur News) – Attorney-at-Law Dexter Todd has issues a 6:00 AM ultimatum to law enforcement authorities for the immediate release of police constable Ryan Greene and his mother, condemning their ongoing detention as a complete violation of due process and the rule of law.
Speaking to Kaieteur News, Todd, who has officially stepped in to represent both individuals, asserted that authorities have failed to establish any legal foundation for the arrests. According to the attorney, neither Greene nor his mother has been formally informed of any specific offense allegedly committed.
“Both parties… no allegation has been put to them. So, we start from the foundation that they don’t know what offense they committed,” Todd stated, calling the omission a massive procedural flaw. He noted that even after conducting an interview with Greene at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters, investigators have yet to state what crime he is suspected of committing.
