IN a world beset by conflict, inequality and moral decay, President Christine Carla Kangaloo said the Divali Nagar 2025 theme – Loka Sangraha: The Welfare of the World – is both timely and transformative.

"We live in a society in which many of us seem content to abandon the basic values and principles we were taught as children, in favour of a few fleeting moments of fame.

"Loka Sangraha urges us to act in ways that sustain our wider communities and the whole of humanity," Kangaloo said during her address at the 38th annual Divali Nagar celebrations on October 15.
