(Kaieteur News) – Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd, a Chinese-state owned mining giant operating in Guyana, through its subsidiary AGM Inc. has reported earnings of US$334 million from its Aurora Gold Mine in Guyana for the first half of 2026.
The information is disclosed in the recently published 2026 Interim Report on Zijin’s global gold operation. Zijin said in the first half of 2026 it benefitted from high gold prices, contribution of newly acquired assets and further operating improvements of mature mines. The company also stated that mined gold production rose by 44% year-on-year to approximately 27.3 tonnes and revenue increased by 100% and revenue increasing by 100% compared to the same period in 2025 to US$3.987 billion.
As it relates to AGM, Zijin said during the first half of 2026 AGM’s revenue from the Guyana project reached US$334 million. This publication reported from Zijin’s interim half-year 2025 report, that operating income for the first half of 2025 was RMB1.47893 billion (over US$200 million) from the Aurora Gold Mine.
