A large group of for­mer Spe­cial Re­serve Po­lice of­fi­cers (SRPs) have won their case over de­lays in pay­ing them salary ar­rears af­ter they were ab­sorbed in­to the T&T Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) in 2009.

In a re­cent judg­ment, High Court Judge Joan Charles up­held a ju­di­cial re­view case over the de­lay brought by 54 of­fi­cers.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that the out­come of the case will al­so af­fect oth­er sim­i­lar­ly cir­cum­stanced of­fi­cers, who did not par­tic­i­pate in the law­suit.
