A 39-year-old labourer was shot dead and another man wounded when gunmen ambushed their vehicle along Enterprise Street, Chaguanas, on Friday night. Police believe the killing was a revenge attack.

The deceased has been identified as Andy Antonio Gormandy, of 17 Walters Lane, Bhagaloo Street, Enterprise. Injured is Samuel “Bird” Walker, 32, of Crown Trace, Enterprise.

Around 10:40 p.m., officers attached to the Central Division Task Force (North Base) responded to reports of gunfire near the Enterprise Hindu Primary School, Lendore Village. On arrival, they found a dark grey Hyundai Tucson, registration parked on the northern side of the roadway with its headlights on and engine idling.
