Ban­dits stole ap­pli­ances from two el­der­ly women in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents in Cen­tral Trinidad on Tues­day.

In the most re­cent case, an 81-year-old woman locked her Rail­way Road, En­ter­prise home just be­fore mid­day and re­turned around 2 pm. She found the door bro­ken and dis­cov­ered that two tele­vi­sions, a gas tank and a bag con­tain­ing per­son­al doc­u­ments were miss­ing. Cunu­pia po­lice are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.

Ear­li­er, a 61-year-old woman re­port­ed that she re­turned to her Robert Street, Chase Vil­lage home around mid­day and no­ticed the front door pried open. On check­ing in­side, she found the rooms ran­sacked and two wash­ing ma­chines, three air-con­di­tion­ing units, a re­frig­er­a­tor, wa­ter heater, sewing ma­chine, wa­ter pump, tele­vi­sion, three gas tanks and elec­tri­cal wiring miss­ing.
