Bandits stole appliances from two elderly women in separate incidents in Central Trinidad on Tuesday.
In the most recent case, an 81-year-old woman locked her Railway Road, Enterprise home just before midday and returned around 2 pm. She found the door broken and discovered that two televisions, a gas tank and a bag containing personal documents were missing. Cunupia police are continuing enquiries.
Earlier, a 61-year-old woman reported that she returned to her Robert Street, Chase Village home around midday and noticed the front door pried open. On checking inside, she found the rooms ransacked and two washing machines, three air-conditioning units, a refrigerator, water heater, sewing machine, water pump, television, three gas tanks and electrical wiring missing.
