DEPUTY Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin said yesterday that while he is currently the most senior officer in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), he has not yet received an instrument formally appointing him to act as Commissioner of Police.
Benjamin was contacted hours after Opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) chairman Marvin Gonzales questioned the whereabouts of substantive Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro and whether an acting Commissioner had been formally appointed.
