A Tobago handyman has been sentenced to 240 hours of community service after admitting to posting a threatening comment on social media.
Jason Wright, 49, of Moriah, appeared before Magistrate Gill in the Scarborough Magistrates’ 2nd Court charged with making a statement prejudicial to safety.
The charge stemmed from a complaint by Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Daryl Dindial, who reported receiving a WhatsApp message on November 24 containing a link to a TikTok video. The video featured a public service announcement, under which a user named “Buju B” — later identified as Wright — posted:
