Eloise Gonzalves, wife of the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, has described the controversy surrounding the purchase of Victoria Keys homes by her and members of her family as “political malice” orchestrated by the New Democratic Party.
Her comments come after Minister in the Ministry of Housing, Anil Roberts, called on her husband, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonzalves, on Tuesday to explain how his wife, son, and daughter were able to obtain three separate subsidised Housing Development Corporation (HDC) homes in Diego Martin, Trinidad.
Prime Minister Gonzalves responded to Roberts, stating that the purchases were legitimate, as his wife and two children are citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
