The Barbados Water Authority is looking at the prolonged water pressure problems and outages affecting parts of St Thomas as a âcrisis situationâ, as engineers intensify efforts to determine why some residents continue to struggle for an adequate supply.
In an update on its social media page Thursday, senior engineer Sharon Wilson said the authority was using a combination of monitoring equipment, field investigations and repairs to identify the causes of the problems affecting residents in Melrose, Edgehill Heights and Edgehill Terrace.
The areas are among those at higher elevations in Barbados, making them particularly dependent on the performance of the distribution network.
