Residents in several parts of St Andrew, St Thomas and St Joseph could experience water outages or low pressure today as the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) carries out emergency repairs to a large-diameter main.The BWA said it would reduce pumping from one of its St George facilities to facilitate repairs in the Golden Ridge area, with crews expected to begin work around 1 p.m.Affected communities include Turner’s Hall, Gregg Farm, Apes Hill and Hillaby in St Andrew; Cane Garden, Welchman Hall, Clifton Hill, Dunscombe and surrounding St Thomas districts; and Baxters, Bissex, Chimborazo, St Bernard’s Village, Sugar Hill and other areas in St Joseph.Residents in the affected districts have been advised to store water, while tankers will be dispatched to assist customers during the work.
