Two days after a horrific accident claimed the life of Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) bus driver Munsaf Khan, colleagues joined his family and friends to give him a glowing farewell.
Khan, 48, of Avocat Village, Fyzabad, died on Tuesday morning in a collision along the Solomon Hochoy Highway, Freeport, while operating a PTSC Deluxe Coach service. The crash also claimed the life of passenger Roxanne Phillip, 39. Investigators are still piecing together what happened, but the loss has reverberated through the PTSC community and among the travelling public.
Dozens of PTSC employees, in and out of uniform, gathered at the Avocat Masjid for the Janazah rites. Imam Shahid Hosein led the recitation of Surah Yasin, and the men performed the Janazah Salaat, the Islamic funeral prayer seeking forgiveness and mercy for the deceased.
