A war of words erupted between Public Services Association president Felisha Thomas and former Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales on Monday, after Thomas told him to stay out of the Water and Sewerage Authority’s affairs, prompting a fiery response from the Arouca/Lopinot MP.
Thomas made the call during a meeting with current Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath at WASA’s head office in St Joseph.
The meeting was prompted by protests which began on Friday, with the union saying the action will continue today as it seeks to resolve outstanding negotiations for the 2014 to 2016 and 2017 to 2019 periods.
