ONE man is dead while another is nursing gunshot injuries following a shooting incident in Cocorite on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Justin Arjoon of Farfan Street in St James, while the injured man was said to be from Fort George Hill in St James.

According to police reports, at about 11 p.m., Arjoon and two men were seated in a red Suzuki Fronx being driven by a 27-year-old friend that was parked near the basketball court. At the time, the trio was waiting for another friend. A blue vehicle reportedly pulled up next to the SUV, and one masked man exited the car. He pulled out a firearm and shot at the vehicle before re-entering the blue sedan, which sped away from the scene.
