To­ba­go Peo­ple’s Par­ty (TPP) deputy po­lit­i­cal leader Dr Faith Breb­nor says new­ly elect­ed MPs Joel Samp­son and David Thomas are en­ter­ing Par­lia­ment with clear man­dates: to speak for To­ba­go, not for any po­lit­i­cal par­ty or per­son­al agen­da.

“Their man­date is very clear—has al­ways been clear—which is to speak on be­half of To­ba­go, not nec­es­sar­i­ly on be­half of any par­ty or for per­son­al gain,” Breb­nor said in a live in­ter­view on CNC3’s Morn­ing Brew.

She said both men were cho­sen not just for their ca­pa­bil­i­ties, but be­cause they un­der­stood the re­spon­si­bil­i­ty that came with the sup­port of 60,000 To­bag­o­ni­ans.
