Social Empowerment Agency moves from cheque payments to direct deposits

Barbados is moving more boldly into a modern era of public service.

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Adrian Forde, this morning announced that his Ministry is moving away from a cheque payment system to direct deposit payments at the Social Empowerment Agency.

This means those who were receiving cheques will now have their money deposited directly into their accounts.
