A 43-year-old truck driver who reportedly faced extortion attempts tied to his financial success was gunned down at his home in Valencia on Tuesday night, in what police are now treating as a suspected targeted killing.

The victim, Rasheed Ali, was found dead around 10:40 p.m. in the garage of his residence at 2mm Plantation Road. Police say Ali had previously filed reports indicating he was approached twice in recent weeks by unknown individuals demanding money.

According to investigators, the perpetrators warned him to "pay up" or face consequences. Just days later, Ali was murdered.
