(Kaieteur News) – Thirty-three-year-old Bishram Jaglall, his wife and their two children, aged eight and three, have been left homeless after a fire flattened their home at Zorg-en-Hoop, Blairmont Village, West Bank Berbice, early Tuesday morning.
The family lost everything in the blaze, including household appliances, two electric bicycles and $200,000 in cash that was kept inside the house. They are currently being accommodated at Jaglall’s mother’s home.
Jaglall told reporters that he and some relatives were at his mother’s residence, a short distance away, having a few drinks and engaging in a late-night conversation when they heard an unusual noise coming from the direction of his home.
