A 44-year-old American visitor was stabbed to death in Castara on Wednesday night, pushing Tobago’s murder toll for the year to nine.
The victim has been identified as Christopher Brown, a builder of Silverthorne, Colorado, USA. Brown, who arrived on the island as a tourist, was killed around 10.35 p.m. along Depot Road, Castara.
According to police, the Tobago Operational Centre received a report of a motionless body bearing a stab wound to the back. First responders found Brown lying face down near a flight of concrete steps, dressed in a blue shirt, black short pants, multicoloured dark-blue, orange and grey shoes, and a black wristwatch.
