Deputy Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Ju­nior Ben­jamin yes­ter­day ad­vised cit­i­zens to en­sure the Car­ni­val re­mains clean and safe as ac­tiv­i­ties re­lat­ed to it wind down for the rest of this week.

He made the com­ment while vis­it­ing San­gre Grande Car­ni­val fes­tiv­i­ties, where he wit­nessed sev­er­al small bands and one band of moko jumbies pa­rade.

Most of the mas bands came from San­gre Grande and en­vi­rons and por­trayed their cos­tumes to the mas­sive crowd that wait­ed pa­tient­ly to wit­ness their pa­rade.
